Frequently Asked Questions – Groove

Frequently Asked Questions – Groove is where you will find answers to some of the most asked questions. Still need help? Contact me.

What is Groove?

Groove is a dance class that uses songs you know and can sing along to, combined with easy moves and routines. You with be partying and sweating before you know it.

I don’t have very good coordination, is this class for me?

Yes, it is. There is some coordination needed in groove, but you will be in the comfort of your own home where no one can see you. It doesn’t matter if you are off the beat, or if you need to take it slower, you do you and you will still get a great workout. The more you do it, the easier it will get and you will find yourself improving your coordination over time.

Do I need much space to do this class?

You will need enough space to be able to put your arms out in all directions and step out to the sides. If you are unable to travel, you do not have to as you can move on the spot instead. Please make sure that your pets and family members are out of the way, so you do not cause them harm.

Can I do a different move to what you are doing?

Absolutely!  Feel the music and let your body guide you.

I have a song request; can I give this to you?

Yes, you can! I cannot guarantee that I will be able to use it, but I love to hear what my participants would like and will do my best to create something for you. Please note that I will not use any songs that are obscene, use bad language or have any racial slurs etc.

Would you be able to make up a dance for me to do privately?

This is something I would be happy to look at with an additional cost.  Please contact me and we can discuss it further.

What equipment will I need?

You will need a drink so you can keep hydrated throughout the class.  No other equipment is needed.

I have an injury / medical condition, can I still take part?

I would recommend that you seek medical advice before attempting the Groove programs as you would not want to aggravate the injury / medical condition and make it worse.
